About Dr. Mikah Sellers
Dr. Mikah Sellers was born in a coal miner’s hospital in rural Pennsylvania and raised by his German immigrant grandparents after his teenage mother gave birth to him. Growing up in poverty in the Appalachian mountains, he enlisted in the U.S. military at seventeen, determined to earn the GI Bill and become the first in his family to attend college. After military service, he completed his degree and began his career in talent acquisition at the dawn of the dot-com era. Over the next two decades, he advanced into leadership roles in digital transformation, earning recognition for driving growth, innovation, and culture change across multiple industries.
A former faculty member at Georgetown University and recipient of the Tropaia Award for Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year, Dr. Sellers holds four master’s degrees, a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management Program. Dr. Sellers’ best-selling book, Forging Emotionally Intelligent Leaders in the Age of AI, is shaping leadership development and executive education programs worldwide and has earned praise from luminaries and industry leaders, including Annie McKee, Nigel Paine, and Raghu Krishnamoorthy.
